Farm Data Explore Future Farm's data and see what you can discover...
At the foundation of our data strategy, the uptake, design and integration of farm data systems must be user-friendly and accessible for farm staff, academics and students. Integration of data systems allows the formation of metadata, combining information to make more informed decisions through a single user-friendly platform and dashboard.
Carbon calculations are a key tool to monitor our road to net zero and ultimately full sustainability. Using carbon calculations ourselves and working alongside companies to improve their measurement recording systems are key and will benefit the whole industry. Biodiversity assessment is also a key component of our sustainability data and will be assessed and reported to monitor biodiversity net gain (BNG).
Some biological and chemical effects on farms can take years to show. Long-term experiments and combining data streams are one way the farm is looking to produce new information and implement beneficial, long-term change to the environment.
The Sustainable Farm Networks aims to reduce the fragmentation across the agriculture sector in the UK. Creating a body of networks that allows information to be shared by a mutual coming together of Demonstration Farm Networks across the UK. Internationally, we are also members of the Global Farm Platform, connecting 24 research farms representing every continent, investigating sustainable ruminant livestock systems.
